About the Role:
Scott Sheet Metal Co Inc is looking for a skilled Shop Fabricator to join their team in Wakefield, MA! This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a dedicated crew crafting precision sheet metal components in a well-equipped shop environment. Responsibilities:

• Fabricate sheet metal components, assemblies, and systems according to blueprints and shop drawings
• Operate shop equipment including shears, brakes, rolls, and plasma cutters
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to specified dimensions
• Perform welding, soldering, and fastening of metal pieces and assemblies
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines

Requirements:

• Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade but will train the right person
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal machinery and hand tools
• Basic welding and soldering skills preferred but will train the right person
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop setting
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious work ethic
