Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Shop Foreman to oversee the entire vehicle reconditioning process at our facility in El Paso, TX. The Shop Foreman will serve as the final quality control checkpoint before vehicles are front line ready for sale, ensuring every vehicle meets our high standards for mechanical integrity, cosmetic appearance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete reconditioning process from start to finish.
• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, cosmetic, and safety concerns.
• Determine necessary body work, paint work, and address potential emissions issues.
• Ensure all vehicles meet quality standards before release to the sales lot.
• Evaluate used vehicles to understand what is required to make them retail ready.
• Supervise and hold accountable the reconditioning technicians and detail department staff.
• Monitor the detail department to ensure every vehicle leaves the recon center clean, presentable, and ready for sale.
• Manage workflow and cycle times to maintain efficiency in the recon operation.
• Communicate effectively with service, parts, detail, and sales departments to coordinate efforts and improve processes.
• Take ownership of the recon operation and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong automotive experience with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle reconditioning.
• Ability to identify issues early and prevent problems before they arise.
• Experience inspecting vehicles for mechanical, cosmetic, safety, and emissions concerns.
• Knowledge of body work and paint requirements.
• Proven ability to evaluate used vehicles and determine what is needed to make them retail ready.
• Leadership skills with experience managing technicians and detail staff.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multiple departments.
• Familiarity with workflow management and cycle time optimization.
• Experience with Rapid Recon software is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality and presentation standards.
