Shot Blast Operator

JOB TITLE: Shot Blast Operator WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:Newberry Tanks & Equipment is a fast paced, growing business based in West Memphis, Arkansas. We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team. A successful candidate will efficiently and effectively: Operate shot blast equipment to prepare steel tanks to receive paint and coatings. Use quality control tools and gauges to ensure product meets specificationsOperate forklift to move and load tank products for shippingPerform basic maintenance and inspection of equipmentKeep work area in clean and orderly condition free of hazardsRequest materials and supplies as neededAdhere to all quality and safety codesEXPERIENCE:Minimum of three years of successful continuous employment in a commercial or industrial settingEDUCATION:High School diploma/GED requiredSimple reading and arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers and decimalsKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations for industrial plant & equipmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Moderate physical effort; requires standing for entire shiftAble to lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the dayGood eye and hand coordinationVisual acuity in order to perform tasks successfullyAble to climb, stoop, bend to move from forklift and perform various outside activities throughout yard
