Job Summary
To operate one of the vehicles in the Grapevine Visitor Transportation Shuttle System.
Essential Functions
Transports visitors on a designated route from Grapevine hotels to shopping venues, restaurants and attractions within the City.
Transports guests on unscheduled runs when the vehicles are contracted for charters.
Reports Grapevine Visitor Shuttle vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor.
Fuels the vehicle as needed and maintains the vehicle interior in a clean and safe manner.
Reports accidents as instructed, per City policy.
Promotes and maintains good public relations and customer service.
Collects fares as posted and maintains all paperwork regarding collections and ridership in an orderly and correct fashion.
Makes deposits of collected fares in the prescribed manner.
Maintains a log noting all incidents, guests and stakeholder comments. The log will be reviewed on a daily basis by the supervisor.
Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.
Required Skills
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Position requires valid Texas Class B CDL Drivers License with passenger endorsement. No DWI (alcohol or drugs) convictions and no more than one moving violation in the last three years.
Must attend Defensive Driving classes as scheduled by the supervisor.
Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check, polygraph exam and credit check. Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical, DOT 5 panel drug screen and functional assessment screening (Level 1).
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is exposed to disagreeable environmental factors. There will be some exposure to:
Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, hard hats, safety vests, steel-toe boots, back support belts, and seat belts are provided and must be worn as required by department procedures and good safety practices.
