Star Transportation is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Shuttle Van Driver for our East Route in Rochester, Minnesota.
This position involves operating a 14-passenger shuttle van, transporting passengers between local apartment communities and Mayo Clinic's Downtown and Saint Marys campuses.
Our East Route offers a consistent Monday-through-Friday afternoon and evening schedule, with no weekend shifts and no service when Mayo Clinic is closed.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position under our company policies.
We are looking for someone who enjoys driving, takes pride in being dependable, and provides friendly, professional service. Previous professional driving experience is preferred but not required.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 14-passenger shuttle van on an established local route.
- Transport passengers between designated apartment communities and Mayo Clinic campuses.
- Maintain the assigned schedule and provide reliable, punctual service.
- Greet passengers and provide courteous, professional customer service.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, passenger needs, or route issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.
- Safely operate the vehicle in varying traffic and Minnesota weather conditions.

Qualifications
Required
- Must be at least 23 years old due to company insurance requirements.
- Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Meet applicable DOT English-language proficiency requirements, including the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, dispatch, and safety personnel.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening. This is considered a safety senitive position
- Have a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT health card) before beginning employment.
- Demonstrate dependable attendance, safe driving habits, and professional conduct.
- Be able to work the assigned Monday–Friday afternoon/evening schedule.
Preferred:
- Previous experience driving passenger vans, shuttle vehicles, taxis, rideshare vehicles, or similar vehicles.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Familiarity with Rochester and surrounding communities.
