Silver Dollar City - [S] UniverCity Internship Program, Summer 2027

This is a general internship application for our Summer 2027 Internship Program. We will work to determine which internship is suitable for you based on your skills, experience, and interests. As a Silver Dollar UniverCity Intern, you will serve in a frontline or leadership role within one of the following divisions:

• Attractions Operations
• Crafts Apprenticeships
• Entertainment & Events (Technician)
• Food & Beverage Management
• Marketing
• Merchandise & Retail Management
• Human Resources

This multi-week program will provide you with unique opportunities to engage with members of leadership from various aspects of the hospitality and tourism industry, work on projects designed to improve the guest experience, and form meaningful connections with both peers and mentors. 

You must be currently at least 18 years of age and enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school degree program to participate. This program runs from May 17th through August 13th. These dates are subject to change and can be flexible based on your prior college commitment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn scheduling procedures.
• Learn time-keeping procedures.
• Learn performance review procedures. 
• Assist with written communications.
• Help create and implement improvements in safety, guest excellence, profit contribution, and job satisfaction.
• Contribute to team-centered projects like surveys, appreciation events, team outings, and company events.
• Assist Supervisors and Team Leads with various projects.

Education/Experience:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field.
• Must have basic computer skills with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Work Environment: 

A Silver Dollar UniverCity Intern works in a dynamic hospitality environment where providing an exceptional guest experience is a primary focus. Interns may spend time both indoors and outdoors and will work across various areas of the park depending on their assigned division. The position involves regular interaction with guests, team members, and leaders in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change throughout the day. Interns should be comfortable working in a variety of settings, collaborating with others, taking initiative, and adapting to the needs of the team and guests.
