If you're passionate about helping participants stay active and independent while creating an encouraging group fitness experience, we'd love to have you on our team.Essential ResponsibilitiesLead safe, effective, and engaging SilverSneakers BOOM Muscle classes in accordance with Tivity Health program standards.Provide exercise modifications and progressions to accommodate varying fitness levels and abilities.Demonstrate proper form, technique, and movement patterns to promote participant safety and success.Foster a welcoming, supportive environment that encourages participation and member retention.Set up, inspect, and maintain fitness equipment before and after class.Monitor participant wellbeing and respond appropriately to any safety concerns.Stay informed on current fitness and wellness trends that support active aging.Maintain accurate attendance records and complete required documentation.QualificationsCurrent SilverSneakers BOOM Muscle Instructor certification through Tivity Health required.Current CPR PRO, AED, and First Aid certifications required.One to two years of group exercise instruction experience preferred.Strong communication, coaching, and motivational skills.Ability to safely demonstrate exercises and provide clear technique corrections.Passion for working with active older adults and supporting healthy lifestyles.ScheduleRegular class: Thursdays, 10:00 AM-11:00 AMAdditional opportunities to substitute weekday, evening, and weekend classes available.BenefitsFREE access to fitness centers and pools at all YMCA of the Roses locations.Discounts on YMCA programs and lessons.FREE Child Watch services (up to 3 hours per day while working, when available).Why You'll Love This RoleEach week, you'll work with a dedicated group of members who are committed to staying active, healthy, and connected.
