Through supportive housing, life skills development, employment readiness, and individualized support, we help young adults build confidence, stability, and long-term success.About the RoleAs a Site Coordinator for the Transitional Living Program, you will provide leadership and oversight for a multi-unit residential site serving young adults as they transition into independent living. This role supervises staff, oversees daily operations, ensures program compliance, and helps create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where youth can develop the skills needed for adulthood.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring staff, solving problems in dynamic environments, and guiding young adults through important life transitions. Successful candidates are adaptable, compassionate leaders who thrive in mission-driven work and can balance relationship-building with accountability.What You'll DoOversee daily operations of a multi-unit transitional living site, ensuring safety, compliance, and effective program implementation.Supervise, coach, and support staff through training, performance feedback, crisis response, and ongoing professional development.Help youth build independent living skills, including budgeting, employment readiness, educational planning, household management, and community engagement.Coordinate life-skills, educational, recreational, and supportive programming that promotes youth success and self-sufficiency.Support crisis intervention efforts using trauma-informed and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) practices while participating in 24/7 on-call coverage.Build and maintain relationships with community partners, employers, landlords, and service providers to support youth stability and successful outcomes.Who We're Looking ForRequiredMust be at least 25 years of age.Bachelor's degree required.Minimum of three years of experience in residential, transitional living, or youth services programs.Valid Illinois driver's license.Personal vehicle or access to a vehicle and proof of automobile insurance.Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screenings.No history of child abuse or neglect.PreferredStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience working with adolescents and young adults ages 17-21.Previous staff supervision experience in residential, child welfare, or social service settings.Knowledge of trauma-informed care, youth development, and independent living programming.Experience with crisis intervention and behavioral support practices.Position Requirements & Work EnvironmentWork Location: Primarily onsite within Lawrence Hall Transitional Living residential sites.Travel/Driving: Regular travel between program sites and community locations. Must be able to transport youth in agency vehicles when necessary.Schedule: Full-time position requiring schedule flexibility and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.Physical Requirements: Ability to use stairs regularly, move between multiple residential units, transport youth, and actively support youth in community and residential settings.Work Environment: Residential and community-based settings serving young adults preparing for independent living.Other Position Requirements: Ability to respond effectively to crises and support staff and youth in a fast-paced environment.Compensation and BenefitsWe care about the well-being of our employees and are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes:Salary: $46,800-$52,000 annually.
