Site Service Specialist (Windows & Doors)

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Site Service Specialist (Windows & Doors) to join our growing team.

Who We Are

VPI Quality Windows is a commercial division of JELD-WEN, Inc. that focuses on manufacturing windows and patio doors for multi-family construction with a particular focus on apartments, dormitories, senior living, and hotels.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this position is to have a "Service First" traveling position for providing field service to non-core regions and surge capacity to core regions. This position will travel as a service technician 50% of the time and will work in service office 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively support and participate in the company's safety and health program
• Report unsafe conditions immediately to appropriate supervision

Field Service Rotations:

• Perform in-field service repairs, evaluations, and inspections, per specified processes
• Create Service Reports after each service call, accurately describe work completed through Autodesk
• Interact professionally directly with customers and during potentially high stress interactions
• Manage schedule to arrive on-site with necessary tools and materials to perform scheduled work
• Accurately diagnose and report all product faults and failures

Service Office Rotations:

• Ensure daily assigned tasks are completed
• Complete schedule/work sheet daily
• Ensure assistance is provided to Coordinators daily with orders, tasks, and any other assigned work
• Responsible for helping Coordinators maintain great customer service and response times

Work Schedule - Overtime may be required.

• Service Rotation - 5 days per week (7:00am - 3:30pm)
• Service Office Rotation - 5 days per week (6:00am - 2:30 pm)
• 50% Travel is required

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge and application of basic problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work well independently
• Excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize activities
• Ability to provide sound design judgment and technical knowledge in a professional manner
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate (verbal/written)
• Perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities
• Must enjoy working with your hands
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• 2 years building or repairing windows in a manufacturing or field service role
• Professional interactions with customers
• 2 years of experience with computer skills -ERP, Salesforce, SharePoint

Expected pay for this role is between $25.91 to $43.17 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
