Responsibilities:

Peraton requires Asset Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located in Arlington, VA. 

  

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.   

Providing asset management services and inventory control analysis to maintain consistent accountability of Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) assets supporting the SIE. Asset Manager documents and coordinates shipping and receiving of ADPE assets, accountability of inventory, short term storage facilities of computer/communications-related assets, and distribution of hardware, as directed by the Government. The Asset Manager ensures that ADPE hardware and software are properly received in an ITSM approved database, documented in accordance with Personal Property Management (PPM) requirements, stored, and disbursed to the required user to maintain good supply and accountability of ADPE.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Produce and distribute monthly deployed asset reports to government.
• Conduct physical and virtual inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
• Participates and work with other IT organizations to ensure accurate asset inventory and storage.
• Accurate data entry and maintenance of inventory records.
• Performs reporting and analytics as directed.
• Assists with lifestyle replacement of IT assets.
• Transport materials to and from storage areas in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintains the Asset Inventory, including additions, changes, deletes, and status updates to the Asset Database. Supports and reconciles asset information with Configuration Management (CMDB).
• Perform packaging, receiving, shipping and disposal of assets in accordance with Security & Asset Management policies and procedures.
• Sets and defines a comprehensive Asset Management Strategy with the customer, including setting goals, objectives, and KPI/metrics.
• Recommends and supports the development and maintenance of, and updates approved policies and procedures for effective asset lifecycle management (acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, and disposal) of IT assets.
• Drives ROI and efficiency strategy through effective analytics and reporting, acquisition strategy and licensing, and process discipline.
• Responsible for compliance with security policies and standards for IT assets.
• Recommends and supports the development, and maintenance of approved processes for managing and tracking the full IT assets, license, and maintenance lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
• Responsible that IT Asset Management deliverables, according to the contract, are delivered on time and accurately.
• Oversee the shipping and disposable processes and execution.
• Responsible for overall physical and virtual audits, including RCA for noncompliance, action plans to address gaps, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement actions for technology, process and people (training).

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • A DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.
  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, or 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with a PHD.
  • Experience in an IT and asset management position.
  • Must have the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing, as well as have a positive customer service attitude.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundations v4 certification, or Intermediate or advanced ITIL certifications (e.g., ITIL Managing Professional).
  • Direct experience contributing to an ITSM platform transition (ServiceNow preferred).
  • Familiarity with USSOCOM IT systems and operational environments.

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
