Primary Purpose:
Provide clerical, customer service, cashiering, and operational support for the district's skating rink. Assist patrons with admissions, skate rentals, concessions, parties, reservations, and general questions while helping to maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and efficiently operated facility.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
First aid and CPR certification preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, recreation, food service, or a related area preferred

Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, employees, and members of the public
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as assigned
Basic knowledge of safe skating-rink practices preferred

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Cash register, point-of-sale system, credit card terminal, telephone, computer, printer, calculator, skate-rental equipment, cleaning and sanitation equipment, concession equipment, and other standard office or recreational-facility equipment.
Posture: Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
Motion: Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate equipment, handle money, issue skates, prepare concession items, clean equipment, and complete clerical duties.
Lifting: Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Environment: Work is performed primarily indoors in a public recreational facility. Exposure to loud noise, flashing or reduced lighting, crowds, food products, cleaning chemicals, moving skaters, slippery surfaces, temperature changes, and potentially stressful situations. May work around children and large groups of patrons.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; accurately handle money and complete transactions; respond appropriately to emergencies; exercise sound judgment; and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, school breaks, district events, and special events.
