About the Role

We're looking for a well-rounded carpenter who can contribute hands-on skills and help guide less-experienced teammates. You'll work on different aspects of remodeling, explain sound construction methods, answer homeowners' questions, and help keep a small crew moving when the Project Manager is away from the site.

This role is a good fit if you enjoy both doing quality work and helping others improve. You'll have opportunities to demonstrate leadership through your craftsmanship, communication, and day-to-day support of the crew. Training on our JobTread software is available; previous experience with it is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete wood and metal framing for remodeling projects.
• Perform finish carpentry, trim installation, and fine woodworking.
• Build decks and replace decking.
• Install cabinets and assist with cabinet building.
• Install hardwood, vinyl plank, and other flooring.
• Complete tile showers, walls, floors, and kitchen backsplashes.
• Install windows and doors and perform siding, roofing, and painting work as projects require.
• Guide less-experienced teammates by demonstrating methods and explaining the work.
• Answer homeowners' questions within your area of responsibility and coordinate with the Project Manager.
• Help organize daily work and maintain the crew's productivity and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Prior construction experience with well-rounded carpentry and remodeling skills.
• Ability to guide teammates and explain how to complete work correctly.
• Comfort using hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to assigned job sites.
• Ability to work from ladders and at heights.
• Ability to work outdoors in summer and winter conditions as needed.
• Reliability, honesty, attention to detail, and a cooperative approach.
• Clear, respectful communication with teammates and homeowners.
• Experience helping lead a small construction crew or teaching less-experienced carpenters is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 employment
• Pay: $28 - $40 per hour, based on skill and experience.
• Schedule: Full-time, typically Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, approximately 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be required, if applicable.
• Year-round work.
• Advancement potential based on skill and experience.
• 5 paid personal days after 1 year of service
• 7 paid holidays.
• 5 paid vacation days after 1 year, increasing to 10 days per year after 2 years
• 401K with a 3% match
