Description and Requirements

Job Description

Location: local to greater Seattle area (highly preferred/priority), remote PST hours required (secondary consideration)

Who You'll Work With

At Slalom, personal connection meets global scale. Our vision is to enable a world in which everyone loves their work and life. We help organizations of all kinds redefine what's possible, give shape to the future-and get there.

What You'll Do

  • Step into an existing developer-focused marketing team as a hands-on Scrum Master / Program Manager, owning the day-to-day Agile delivery rhythm.
  • Lead core Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partner closely with program leadership and the team to prioritize work, establish realistic sprint commitments, and align priorities with team capacity.
  • Improve sprint planning and execution with a focus on reducing carryover and increasing delivery predictability.
  • Identify and remove blockers, manage dependencies, and surface delivery risks that could impact commitments.
  • Help mature how the team applies Agile/Scrum practices within a marketing environment focused on content and digital deliverables rather than traditional software development.
  • Use delivery metrics and team insights to improve planning, prioritization, and ways of working.
  • Bring an AI-forward mindset, identifying practical opportunities to use AI to improve team productivity, planning, and execution.
  • Quickly ramp into an established team, provide continuity during a temporary resource gap, and support a smooth transition to the long-term resource.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, Program Manager, or Agile delivery leader.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum with demonstrated experience leading ceremonies and managing sprint execution; Scrum certification is not required.
  • Experience with sprint planning, backlog prioritization, capacity planning, and reducing work carried over between sprints.
  • Strong program management skills across priorities, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance business priorities with realistic team capacity and facilitate trade-off conversations when demand exceeds capacity.
  • A pragmatic approach to Agile, adapting practices to the team and type of work rather than rigidly applying a framework.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to influence priorities and drive clarity.
  • Experience supporting marketing, content, digital, creative, or other nontraditional Agile teams strongly preferred.
  • Ability to assess an existing team's ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes without disrupting delivery.
  • Ability to work PST hours; Seattle-area candidates who can occasionally collaborate onsite are a plus.
  • An AI-forward mindset and interest in using AI-enabled tools to improve how teams work.
