Carilion Clinic is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Sleep Medicine Physician to join our expanding multidisciplinary Sleep Medicine team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a full spectrum of sleep disorders in adults (and pediatric patients if desired), while collaborating closely with primary care, neurology, pulmonology, psychiatry, and other specialty services.
This role includes both outpatient clinic work and interpretation of sleep studies within Carilion’s AASM-accredited sleep centers.
Provide clinical care for patients with sleep-related conditions, including insomnia, sleep apnea, hypersomnia, parasomnias, circadian rhythm disorders, and movement-related sleep disturbances.
Interpret sleep studies (PSG, HSAT, MSLT, MWT) and provide timely consultative reports.
Participate in multidisciplinary collaborations and care pathways to optimize sleep health across the system.
Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EPIC) in accordance with Carilion standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
Optional participation in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
Engage in continuing education and remain current with Sleep Medicine best practices and AASM guidelines.
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, or related specialty.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Sleep Medicine.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine.
Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
