Slitting Machine Operator

Nesco Resource is hiring for our client in Elmira NY. With an immediate opening for a Machine Operator

Monday thru Friday 6Am to 2:30PM
weekends off
$17 per hour
Job Summary:
The Chip Slitter Operator supports production operations by assisting with machine setup, material handling, and finished product processing. This role ensures efficient workflow and quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load rolls of paper onto the chip slitter machine safely and efficiently
• Secure and setting up cutting plates used to slot paper materials
• Support machine startup and monitor basic operation alongside the operator
• Remove cut paper pieces from conveyor belts during production
• Stack finished products onto pallets, place into boxes, or load into cages as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Prior machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Work Environment:

• Industrial/manufacturing setting
• Standing for extended periods
• Exposure to moving machinery and production equipment
