Do you like watching a bare board turn into a finished product? Our client in Tempe is looking for an SMT Operator to run the line, keep quality high, and keep things moving. If you have pick and place experience and take pride in building to IPC standards, this could be your next long-term career move.

Location: Tempe, AZ
Job Type: Direct hire (permanent position with our client)
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 hourly

What You'll Do

• Set up and tear down the SMT line
• Operate SMT machines, printers, wave solder, and ovens
• Read and interpret IPC, internal, and customer-supplied manufacturing documents
• Make machine edits and troubleshoot problems during the process
• Archive machine-generated reports
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on your equipment
• Build product to required IPC standards
• Pitch in on other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• 2 years of pick and place machine experience (required)
• Related experience or training in SMT operation and maintenance (a plus)
• Technical diploma (an asset)
• Ability to read and understand instructions, engineering drawings, and short correspondence
• Ability to write simple correspondence and share information one-on-one and in small groups
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and comfort with machine applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
