We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our winter operations team as Snow Laborer Helpers.

This is a seasonal, hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, can respond quickly when winter weather arrives, and takes pride in keeping commercial properties safe and accessible.

Snow removal is weather-dependent, so flexibility is essential. Our crews operate during snow and ice events, including overnight, early-morning, weekend, and holiday shifts. If you are reliable, physically capable, and ready to work when conditions demand it, we would like to hear from you.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Snow Laborer Helper, you will work alongside our winter maintenance crews to clear snow and ice from commercial properties, helping maintain safe access for customers, employees, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Shoveling snow from sidewalks, pedestrian walkways, building entrances, and other designated areas
• Applying salt and ice-melting materials to reduce slippery conditions
• Assisting with general snow removal, property clearing, and cleanup activities
• Helping keep entrances, pathways, and other assigned areas accessible during winter storms
• Following crew instructions and completing assigned tasks efficiently
• Communicating regularly with supervisors and team members throughout snow events
• Using smartphone applications to record work activities, track hours, and complete required documentation
• Following established safety procedures while working around snow removal equipment and in challenging weather conditions
• Remaining available to respond to scheduled snow removal assignments throughout the winter season

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for motivated individuals who understand the importance of punctuality, communication, and dependable attendance during snow events.

What we're looking for:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report for work when called
• Comfortable using smartphone applications for communication, paperwork, and time tracking
• Strong attention to detail when completing work records and reporting hours
• Physical ability to shovel snow, spread salt, and perform demanding outdoor labor
• Willingness to work in freezing temperatures, snow, ice, and other severe winter conditions
• Availability throughout the snow season, typically December through April
• Flexibility to work overnight, early-morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Ability to respond to on-call assignments, including shifts beginning at 3:00 AM or earlier
• Willingness to remain on duty throughout a storm and assist with cleanup afterward
• Ability to work independently when necessary while following team instructions and safety expectations
• Ability to report to our Middletown, PA location before starting work

Previous snow removal or outdoor labor experience is helpful, but we particularly value reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to work when needed.

Compensation and Work Schedule

We offer straightforward hourly compensation and seasonal work opportunities during winter weather events.

Pay and employment

• $25 per hour

Seasonal availability

• Snow removal season generally runs from December through April
• On-call availability is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the season
• Employees typically receive several days' advance notice of expected snow events when weather forecasts allow
• Shifts may begin at 3:00 AM or earlier and continue throughout the storm
• Work schedules may include weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight hours
• Hours vary depending on weather conditions and snowfall

Please note: This position is not based on a fixed weekly schedule. Snow removal assignments are determined by winter weather conditions, and dependable availability during snow and ice events is an essential part of the role.
