Social Catering Sales Manager

The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg is an upscale hotel located across from the Woodfield Mall and just 15 minutes from O'Hare.

We are currently seeking a Social Catering Sales Manager.

Summary

We are looking for a Social Catering Sales Manager to join our team! The Social Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating, selling, and detailing social catering business, including weddings, social celebrations, and other special events. This role manages the entire client experience, from the initial inquiry and sales process through event planning, detailing, and execution, ensuring every group's needs and expectations are met. The Social Catering Sales Manager works closely with clients and internal teams to coordinate catering services, food and beverage, banquet facilities, and other event details while maximizing revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong client relationships, and delivers exceptional guest satisfaction through seamless event execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering sales, event sales, hospitality, or a related field; hotel experience preferred.
• Proven ability to generate new business, build client relationships, conduct sales outreach, and achieve revenue goals.
• Experience selling, planning, and detailing social events, including weddings, celebrations, and other special occasions.
• Strong knowledge of catering operations, banquet event orders (BEOs), food and beverage offerings, event setup, and service standards.
• Ability to manage the full event lifecycle, from initial inquiry and contract negotiation through event detailing and successful execution.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and client needs simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with culinary, banquet, sales, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Flexible availability to accommodate client appointments, site tours, and occasional evening or weekend events as business needs require.
