Position Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with the execution of media strategies that grow positive brand visibility, improve customer service, and create a social environment conductive to increasing revenues. Duties range from content creation across a variety of social platforms to monitoring of user-generated brand-related activity and online reviews, as well as tracking and reporting on related data and analytics.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes superior guest service.

• Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.

• Assists in the creation and execution of relevant brand content across a variety of social media platforms, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.

• Schedules and executes social media messaging

• Utilizes social media monitoring tools and first-hand observations to keep pace with tracking and reports out on posted information found in social media spaces, industry related spaces and public spaces.

• Partners with guest experience to monitor and manage ilani’s online reputation by responding to posts, comments, messages, and online reviews.

• Assists with researching discussions, postings, and comments found in the social communities to identify trends, opportunities, and issues.

• Provides timely notification to the Marketing Manager & the Guest Experience Manager on any public information that supports or inhibits management strategies to enhance brand image and the ability to conduct business.

• Partners with the Guest Experience team to maintain cooperative, productive, and service-oriented relationships with internal departments regarding issues and opportunities.

• Provides on-site support to execute the department’s social media tactics as needed.

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, plus one (1) year of experience in communications with a strong focus on social networking activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Understanding of web analytics as they relate to content delivery.

• Able to use web analytics tools to analyze and make recommendations regarding e-mail marketing

• Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.

• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.

• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with the execution of successful social media strategies in a high volume, complex casino or hospitality environment preferred.

• Knowledge of current social and interactive management systems preferred.

Wages:

This role offers a starting wage of $25.01 per hour. Candidates with relevant experience may be placed higher within the established pay range.
