The Opportunity:

As an integration engineer, you know the importance of ensuring applications and systems work together. On our team, you’ll be trusted to design, develop, and implement solutions for software integration projects that’ll directly impact testing and data analysis for vital Department of the Navy missions.

You will connect and support proprietary systems used to acquire, process, and view image data. The role focuses on developing practical, maintainable integration solutions across approximately 15 systems in a nondestructive test and industrial radiography lab, including legacy machines, standalone equipment, motion-control hardware, and modern software platforms.

The successful candidate will serve as a privileged user responsible for maintaining secure operational environments, implementing system hardening measures, performing backup and recovery activities, and supporting data workflows that provide analysts with timely access to mission-critical diagnostic information.

You Have:

• 6+ years of experience in technical disciplines such as software development, systems integration, data integration, or systems administration
• Experience supporting secure, isolated, or closed-network environments and implementing cybersecurity controls in accordance with STIGs and DoD guidance
• Experience developing automation scripts using scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB to parse, convert, process, and manage technical or scientific data
• Experience handling digital imaging files and associated metadata, including TIF-based and proprietary imaging formats, data conversion, and integrity validation
• Experience administering databases and data repositories, including backup and recovery activities, data integrity, custody, availability, and database structure management
• Experience supporting environments that combine modern software, legacy hardware, proprietary tools, and specialized technical equipment
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
• Security+ or DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience developing software or scripts using, C#, C++, .net, SQL, or comparable programming languages and database technologies
• Experience with digital radiography and non-destructive testing or lab systems
• Experience with image processing
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting APIs, system interfaces, data exchange mechanisms, and integrations between heterogeneous systems and data sources
• Possession of strong technical documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
