Work model: 50% telecommuting, 50% Office per week in Albany, NY
--- Project Description ---
Application architect and developer using Java, OpenText Exstream Cloud
Native, Cobol and DB2 to assemble data and create correspondence for mailing.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Production support of existing applications
2. Analysis, design, coding, and unit/integration testing
3. Create and update program specification and detail design documentation
4. Application performance tuning
5. Mentor junior programmers
6. Application development for modernization effort
--- Required Qualifications ---
• 72 months of experience with Java programming in an IBM environment
development using an eclipse based IDE
• 84 months of experience developing tax processing systems in a federal, state
or municipal agency
• 84 months installing, configuring, patching, testing Open Text Exstream
software and architecting the design of complex business applications
• 84 months of IBM Mainframe COBOL programming experience
• 84 months of IBM DB2 for z/OS experience
