The Prime Video team delivers high-quality video to Amazon customers through subscriptions (Amazon Prime) as well as purchases and rentals. Amazon believes so deeply in the mission of our video offering that we"ve launched our own studio to create original and exclusive content.

    PVPD Growth Tech owns product development of an intelligent channel agnostic engagement automation designed to provide a holistic view of a prime video customer's lifecycle state, recommendations, they have seen, and/or marketing messages they have (or have not) received. Using smart rules and machine learning, self learning system sends relevant, timely, and personalized content on a fully automated basis. We are building a multi-channel campaign management system powered by customer profile data, engagement propensity models and recommendations to enable automated customer segmentation and targeting.

    You will join a development team that interacts with marketing and data scientist teams. Our team researches and builds channels through which we engage and stay connected with our customers, such as dynamic video ads, personalized e-mail recommendations, amazon retail websites and social media. The services we build rely on leading edge machine learning techniques to learn about our customer needs and to match them with a wide array of video content.     Key job responsibilities

    As an SDE-II in the PVPD - Growth org, this role supports the MegaFonzies team that is responsible for Prime Video marketing message delivery experience across all channels. The team's mission is to deliver high quality engagement to customers on desired channel. They are responsible for rendering content on desired channel, onboard new channels and apply last mile filters where applicable. They own and maintain systems that dictate template models for each channel.

    An SDE-II in MegaFonzies team is expected to work independently to deliver project initiatives with minimal oversight. They excel in channel ambiguity and will be able to independently:

    1) review requirements and disambiguate as needed by working with relevant stakeholders,

    2) deliver technical design document and address feedback,

    3) implement the solution by writing code, and

    4) ensure the solution is safely launched through testing and validation.

    An SDE-II in this tech team is expected to work with multiple stakeholders from different teams, product leads, Sr SDEs as templating and delivery is segmented across multiple teams. Hence it is important to find ways to connect/earn trust across different teams to deliver on PVPD Growth & broader PV-level goals. Additionally, in 2026 Megafonzies systems be owning and driving observability goals and expected to broaden multiple channel intake (email migration, cross-site recommendations and WhatsApp expansion). Hence, it's critical that an SDE II within the team, focuses on operational excellence, constructively identifying recurring problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve the team's software, making it resilient and easier to maintain. They make improvements to the team's development and testing processes and establish and maintain best practices.
