Location: Centennial, CO

Pay Rate: $55-64/hr W2

Employment Type: 6 month contract to hire

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Software Developer for a forward-thinking company delivering engineering software solutions, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in modernizing legacy applications, full-stack development, and complex 3D geometric modeling, looking to further their career in engineering software development.

• Design, develop, and maintain business-critical desktop and web applications using .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps
• Modernize legacy Windows desktop applications into modern web-based solutions while maintaining core functionality and business value
• Implement full-stack features involving 3D geometric modeling, engineering calculations, and data visualization
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to improve code quality, test coverage, and development velocity
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of professional .NET/C# development with strong expertise in full-stack development, SQL Server, and Windows/web applications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience); strong mathematics background required
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Agile development practices, code review, and modern development tools

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with 3D graphics engines (DirectX, OpenGL) or ray casting techniques for geometric modeling
• Background in structural/civil engineering or familiarity with engineering analysis software and construction workflows
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot or similar) in professional development workflows
