Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Java web applications and services.
- Develop responsive, mobile-ready user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Build and maintain backend services, distributed applications, and scalable web-based systems.
- Develop and support healthcare EDI transaction processing, including 270/271, 276/277, and 837.
- Work with MongoDB, JDBC, SQL, and enterprise database integration.
- Support Medicaid Member Management replacement and legacy system modernization initiatives.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, debugging, deployment, and production support.
- Utilize Java frameworks, application servers, and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, database administrators, and infrastructure teams throughout the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
- 7+ years of experience with Java.
- 7+ years of experience with HTML.
- 7+ years of experience with JavaScript.
- 7+ years of experience with jQuery.
- 5+ years of experience with EDI Transaction Sets (270/271, 276/277, 837).
- 5+ years of experience with MongoDB.
- Experience with Medicaid eligibility systems and business operations.
- Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
- Experience with JDBC.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with UC4.
- Experience with Java/J2EE enterprise application development.
- Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, Tapestry, Spring, and ActiveMQ.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and Unix scripting.
- Programming Languages: Java, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL
- Frameworks: Tapestry, Spring, AJAX, Java/J2EE
- Application Server: Apache Tomcat
- Databases: MongoDB, SQL Server, IDMS
- Integration: EDI X12, JDBC, ActiveMQ, Web Services
- Tools: Maven, Subversion (SVN), Eclipse, NetBeans, UC4
- Operating Systems: Oracle Linux, Unix
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Java/J2EE Server or related J2EE certification preferred.
