The Missiles and Fire Control Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization is seeking a multidisciplinary designer who seamlessly blends user experience expertise, hands-on development capabilities, and data visualization mastery. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering program technology and information systems through development of a Digital Command Center

In this role, you''ll be both a creative problem-solver and technical implementer, designing intuitive user experiences and then bringing them to life through AI coding. You''ll work with our cross functional team to transform complex, ever-changing datasets into compelling, user-centered analytics products that drive meaningful business decisions.

The individual will Support the planning, organization, and execution of Model Based Enterprise projects across multiple teams, focused on the Digital Command Center. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on product design.

Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
• 2+ years' experience combining design, development, and data visualization in professional settings
• Implementation Ability: Translate design concepts into functional, interactive prototypes and production code
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong storytelling abilities
• Experience with a variety of design and DevSecOps techniques (or Software Factory)
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, Vue, Angular, Django or similar)
• Experience using AI development tools

• Experience in Design thinking methodologies
• Advanced JavaScript, Python and CSS capabilities
• Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
• Collaborative design tools (e.g. Miro, Mural, Figma)
• Design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
• Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with diverse, remote teams
• Knowledge of design tokens and scalable design principles
• Strong user experience and interface design principles
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly, etc.)
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, ect.)
• Data literacy and ability to understand complex datasets and business requirements

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $106600.00 - $198000.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $95900.00 - $178100.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $85300.00 - $158300.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $76700.00 - $142500.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.
