Job Title: Software Development Engineer II
Location(s): Austin, TX
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and results-oriented Software Development Engineer to design and build scalable software solutions that empower business teams. The ideal candidate will apply industry best practices to solve complex business problems, define meaningful metrics, and develop reliable systems that operate at scale.
The candidate should have strong software development skills, front-end development experience, and expertise in designing and building multi-tier web services and APIs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
- Lead the design and architecture of new and existing systems, applying appropriate design patterns and best practices for reliability and scalability.
- Define and develop multi-tier web services and APIs.
- Develop front-end applications using React and Micro Frontend architecture.
- Build and integrate solutions using Java, Python, and AWS services.
- Follow software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, automated testing, and operational support.
- Develop reliable and maintainable software solutions that address complex business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software applications.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, automation, testing, and operations.
- 6+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- 5+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
- Strong front-end development experience, particularly with React.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs.
- Experience working with AWS services.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate attention to detail, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java and Python.
- Experience with Micro Frontend architecture.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Experience building scalable, cloud-based applications and distributed systems.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
- React, Java, Micro Frontend architecture, and APIs.
- Strong front-end development experience.
- AWS services experience.
