Description:
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team.
Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results.
Resolves software problem reports.
Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provides input to software components of system design, including hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS use, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work is completed in accordance with the software development process being used.
Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.

SWE3 Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
May substitute two years' experience with an MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
Twelve (12) years' experience as a DSP Algorithm developer.
Twelve (12) years' experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development language.
C++ work must be in the last 10 years.
Salary Range:**$240k-$293k (Annually)
**The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
