Summary:
Lead the design, development, documentation, and implementation of AI algorithms and models using industry-standard methods and tools.
Evaluate and consider ethical implications and potential bias in AI model development and implementation.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support successful execution of engineering activities.
Develop and maintain software using C, C++, Python, or other modern programming languages.
Support and contribute to automated testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Google Test, PyTest) to improve software quality and test efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software integration and development efforts.
Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate software development and testing processes.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively across technical teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
Typically 5+ years of related software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and frameworks such as Google Test or PyTest.
Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-tech engineering environment.
Must be able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA.
No relocation assistance available.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Education or hands-on experience with AI algorithms, machine learning, and AI tools.
Familiarity with AI frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience collaborating with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments.
Familiarity with ADA programming language or avionics software systems.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance if sponsored.
