Software Engineer (.NET)

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Software Engineer (.NET) job in White Plains, NY. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the automotive retail industry. In this role, you will be responsible for building and improving .NET applications and services for digital platforms used by customers, employees, and business operations nationwide. In order to be successful in this position, you must have hands-on .NET experience with multi-tier or microservices applications along with REST, JSON, OAuth, and SQL. Preference will be given to someone with Azure or other cloud platform, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development experience.

Software Engineer (.NET) Job responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support maintainable .NET applications and services.
• Build and integrate REST APIs using JSON and OAuth, and work with SQL, relational databases, and data models.
• Partner with business analysts, product, project management, and quality engineering to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in technical design, estimate work, and communicate progress and risks.
• Write automated tests, review code, troubleshoot issues, and create technical and operational documentation.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices responsibly across design, coding, testing, and code review.

Qualifications:

• Two plus years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on .NET experience with multi-tier or microservices applications
• Experience with REST, JSON, OAuth, SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
• Ability to develop from specifications and solve problems with limited guidance
• Azure, automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, or ecommerce and retail experience a plus

This contract Software Engineer (.NET) job is based in White Plains, NY. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $80.00 - $85.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
