LOCATION: Cambridge, MA
PAY RATE: $85.25/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Design, develop, and execute software test and verification plans to ensure system quality, reliability, and functionality.

  • Set up and configure test environments, including hardware, software, network, and data configurations to replicate production systems.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Support and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) automation systems for avionics software and hardware testing.

  • Collaborate with CI/CD (DevSecOps) teams to integrate software deployment into HIL testing environments.

  • Review software requirements, define test strategies, and validate system functionality, performance, and safety.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects, vulnerabilities, and test outcomes.

  • Create and maintain testing documentation, procedures, metrics, and artifacts in accordance with security and data privacy standards.

  • Work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced development environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field.

  • 5+ years of related experience in software test, verification, or systems engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Experience with automated testing and verification methodologies.

  • Proficiency in NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW (or similar HIL platforms).

  • Hands-on experience with NI PXIe systems and hardware integration.

  • Strong programming experience in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

  • Comfortable working with lab and hardware systems/equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Must be able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA.

  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person for Export Compliance purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern HIL techniques and/or AI tools.

  • Familiarity with FPGA testing and architecture.

  • Knowledge of avionics communication protocols, including:

    • MIL-STD-1553

    • ARINC 429

    • CAN

  • Experience with avionics display system verification and validation.

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post-start).
