    Software Engineer (Washington, DC)

    Years of Experience: 5+ years of relevant web experience leading web development and maintenance.

    Candidates must have an active Government Agency Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

    Z FEDERAL is seeking a Software Engineer that has knowledge and experience with modern technology stacks and has led software modernization and maintenance projects. The candidate must have experience building microservices with ASP.NET core in C#. This position will support one of our Federal Government customers in Washington, DC.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Develop services to implement business logic and modify data using ASP.NET and EFCore.
    • Develop unit tests for APIs and other application code.
    • Debug issues reported by testers and users and fix bugs.
    • Diagnose issues in deployed environments and create bugs to be fixed.
    • Model data for new features and refine models for existing features.
    • Develop queries and views to support application integration.
    • Develop and maintain GraphQL schemas to support data integration.
    • Working independently and in a team environment, providing guidance to more junior developers on the team
    • Engage with stakeholders

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, required
    • 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Experience building microservices with ASP.NET core in C#.
    • Experience integrating PostgreSQL databases in ASP.NET microservices using EFCore.
    • Experience building PostgreSQL databases for enterprise applications.
    • Experience with GraphQL APIs in ASP.NET or other platforms.
    • Experience building unit tests for microservices and GraphQL APIs.
