Software Engineering Manager

Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team. As an engineering manager you will support, enable and empower your team, managing high performing engineers to make a meaningful impact on billions of people around the world. Software Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility.Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives Foster an environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvementExperience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers 8+ years of, or PhD + 4 years of software engineering work experience, including hands on technical management 2+ years of experience in managing a team of engineers with varied skill levels Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Hands-on technical management building large scale distributed systemsMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
