    Job Description

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling) with strong expertise in tooling design, process development, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will support manufacturing operations by designing jigs and fixtures, optimizing production processes, and coordinating tooling requirements while driving cost and productivity improvements.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and update manufacturing process documentation including tooling lists, setup requirements, and standard work instructions.
    • Define tooling, fixturing, and material-handling requirements (carts, trolleys, etc.) used in the manufacturing process.
    • Design and support jigs & fixtures for production needs.
    • Coordinate with tooling vendors to specify, procure, or modify tooling and fixtures.
    • Develop manufacturing process flows with a focus on cost reduction.
    • Perform assembly process planning, systematic layout planning, and production planning & control.
    • Conduct direct labor studies and establish labor standards for operations, setup, and workstation layout.
    • Support material flow optimization and standardization processes.
    • Perform line balancing and ensure effective resource utilization.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean implementation.
    • Identify areas of unnecessary cost and drive cost-saving initiatives.
    • Follow up daily on project progress and interact with customers as needed.
    • Prepare project status reports by analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending actions.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (required).
    • 2-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Creo software proficiency is a must.
    • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering principles.
    • Hands-on experience with Jigs & Fixture Design.
    • Experience in line balancing and process optimization.
    • Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
