Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the full software product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through development, launch, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and end users to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and translate needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain product strategies, roadmaps, user stories, and feature requirements aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering, data, UX/UI, QA, analytics, and business teams throughout the development process.
  • Prioritize features and product enhancements based on business value, user needs, technical considerations, and available resources.
  • Coordinate product initiatives and timelines across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
  • Lead or support Agile product development practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, refinement, and release planning.
  • Communicate product priorities, progress, risks, and upcoming releases to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and product success metrics to evaluate performance, adoption, and business impact.
  • Gather user feedback and leverage product data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Help create scalable software and data solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in software product management, digital product management, or a similar product-focused technology role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing products through multiple stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience developing product requirements, roadmaps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum product development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with software engineers, QA teams, designers, data professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and navigating changing requirements in a growing organization.
  • Experience working with data-intensive products, analytics platforms, enterprise applications, SaaS products, or internal business systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience within insurance, reinsurance, insurtech, fintech, or another highly regulated industry is preferred.

The successful candidate will be:
  • Business-minded: Able to understand the larger business problem rather than simply managing feature requests.

  • Data-driven: Uses analytics, KPIs, and user feedback to guide product decisions.
  • Collaborative: Able to build strong relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Organized: Capable of managing competing priorities, dependencies, and product timelines.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable operating in an evolving environment where priorities may change quickly.
  • User-focused: Passionate about creating intuitive products that solve meaningful business problems.
