Software Test Engineer III

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help test software in a dynamic environment. Primary Responsibilities

• Participate as an integral team member in test planning, strategy, design, execution, and software engineering processes.
• Review, edit, and generate documents for engineering and testing purposes according to industry standards.
• Learn from senior test engineers while mentoring less experienced team members.
• Communicate frequently with software developers and other team members.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• 4 years of relevant technical experience with a BS degree or 2 years with an MS degree.
• Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Proven experience performing software tests on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Track record of implementing automated software testing solutions.
• Experience in software development using C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership and government customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing user interface (UI) tests with automated UI testing technologies.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE 12207, CMMI, MIL-STD-882e, DO-178C, DO-278, and RMF.
• Ability to work across multiple products developed by multiple small teams.
• Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and applications.
• Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices technology.
• Knowledge of guidance & control algorithms, navigation systems, mission planning systems, and sensors.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
• Proficiency in testing MATLAB/Simulink generated code.
• Understanding of hardware-software integration and software systems engineering principles.
• Agile Scrum Master experience is a plus.
