Provide a short description of the Position:
This position will support cloud support services, such as cloud integration technical assistance, cloud-based analytic and security programs, and training for Dept personnel on the use of cloud-based tools.

Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:
Specific duties will include: designing webservices and applications including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, and customer technical support; developing unit tests and testing processes autonomously to ensure conformity of the application with business requirements and implement change management; managing the release management process, including the testing, promoting and releasing of applications through the development environment; and leading code critique sessions and overseeing the development of technical design documentation. Other related duties as assigned. The architect will also lead database design/development and user-interface enhancements.

Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Position Requested Qualifications (Per Attachment 7, Section 1.2.5)

• 84 months of experience in the design, implementation and deployment of web applications, single page front end applications, REST backends
• 84 months of experience designing and building cloud native and hybrid applications in AWS.
• 84 months of experience with data processing, ETL and analysis with Python using libraries Pandas, Numpy
• 84 months of experience in design, implementation and deployment of system-to-system applications using REST APIs, REST Clients, Spring security
• 60 months of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Oracle, Postgres, DynamoDB.
• 60 months of experience in programming public sector government IT projects
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution

If YES, include the additional security requirements: Authorized user may sign confidentiality forms. May be subject to fingerprinting. Will need State Driver or Non-Driver's identification card for issuance of building access. Confidentiality agreements and network access permission may be required in this position.

If YES, provide description of anticipated training: Program staff will provide informal user training so that the Candidate can get an understanding of the application from an end user perspective. Mandatory training requirements will be required of consultants to inform of important policies and procedures that affect day-to-day operations and interactions to achieve an overall better workforce and environment.
What type and/or manner, of knowledge transfer is requested during the Engagement? Consultant will work with staff and transfer knowledge to state staff or their other consultants, including written documentation and the following:

• Conducting technical training sessions.
• Conducting one-on-one technical training.
• Developing programming guidelines / standards.
• Developing coding examples and distributing them to coworkers.
• Conducting code review and critique.
