About the Opportunity

The Soldering Operator within our Assembly department performs a wide variety of soldering tasks and electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies or subassemblies in accordance with IPC/EIA J-STD-001 requirements.  

What You'll Do:

  • Prepares soldering and assembly work by reviewing instructions and blueprint specifications and comparing boards with actual designs and documents  
  • Populates PCB based on work instructions, assembly drawings and bills of material 
  • Assembles components by positioning parts and subassemblies, examining connections for proper fit and fastening parts and subassemblies  
  • Cleans PCBs and assemblies throughout process and after completion 
  • Inspects all assembly work to ensure that all applicable requirements are met 
  • Signs off on the traveler, dates and enters quantity, scans out job  
  • Perform other job duties as needed 

What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to fluently read, write and speak English  
  • Hand soldering experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to work well under pressure  
  • Ability to use various assembly tools including microscope 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and priorities  
  • 20/20 correctable vision in one eye  
  • Must be able to work 1st Shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED or comparable industry experience (Preferred) 
  • 1 year assembly experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred) 
  • Experience with soldering and assembly of military components (Preferred)  

Please note that in addition to prolonged sitting, the work environment requires repetitive hand motion such as handling, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity.

Schedule:

  • 1st Shift available (7:30am - 4:00pm) 
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime and Weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time

California Pay Range
$18—$21 USD

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
