The Sea, Land, Air Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.

SPA has a need for a Solutions Architect, who will serve as the lead integrator of end‑to‑end mission planning solutions across capabilities, data, and the Common Development Environment (CDE). This technical leader will work side‑by‑side with government stakeholders to translate strategy and roadmaps into executable technical work and sequenced increments. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for aligning integration and test plans, platform‑specific MPE deliveries, and acquisition activities with the overall modernization roadmap.#FC #DICE

Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect designs end‑to‑end solutions that integrate mission planning capabilities, data, and the Common Development Environment (CDE) to meet portfolio and solution‑level needs. They sit side‑by‑side with government stakeholders to translate strategy and roadmaps into executable technical work, helping decompose complex operational needs into implementable features and increments. The Solutions Architect ensures that integration, testing, and fielding plans support platform‑specific Mission Planning Environments (MPEs) and aligns delivery order content with the modernization roadmap. They serve as a key technical advisor for acquisition planning, requirements refinement, and evaluation of technical proposals, bridging enterprise architecture and platform‑level implementation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or senior systems engineering with demonstrable mission planning or closely related domain expertise
  • Experience working directly with government program offices as a trusted technical advisor on requirements, delivery order development, and technical evaluations
  • Proven ability to integrate and synchronize frameworks, common components, and platform‑unique components using shared baselines and toolchains
  • Experience conducting field analysis of MPE requirements, mapping them to architecture and component‑level changes, and coordinating across multiple development organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
  • Active Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant field plus prior service as a senior government civilian (GS‑13/14/15) or field‑grade officer in the mission planning community, or directly comparable experience working alongside that community
  • Experience with FMS MPE development and integration, including agile development of country‑unique capabilities and associated evaluations and media/install script preparation
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining enterprise‑level Integrated Master Schedules to coordinate MPE deliveries with aircraft upgrades, OS/SDC changes, and framework/tool updates
  • Demonstrated ability to author and communicate technical roadmaps and align them with milestone documentation such as SEPs, ISPs, and Program Protection Plans
  • Experience leading or supporting developer and user evaluation events, pre‑FQT readiness assessments, and coordination with test organizations

Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Massachusetts, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $195,000.00/Yr. - USD $225,000.00/Yr.
