Sonographer- Acute Care- Bozeman MT
Location                             : Bozeman MT 59715
Duration                            : 13 weeks Contract
Pay Range                         : $55- $60/hr
Shift                                     : 7 PM-07:30 AM on Thursday, 9:00 PM - 9:30 AM on Sat. & Sun
 
Job Summary 
The Acute Care Sonographer II provides health care services in ultrasound (US), to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs US procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.  Primarily works independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Required

• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in a minimum of one category - OB/Gyn or Abdomen/Small Parts

• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification in a minimum of one advanced category (Fetal Echocardiography, Breast, Pediatrics, or Registered Vascular Technology, Musculoskeletal) or ten years of experience in advanced practice with a commitment to obtain advanced registry

• American Heart Association BLS

• Two (2) years of post-graduation experience in advanced US practice reflecting registration status

 
Preferred

• Five (5) years of post-graduation experience in advance US practice reflecting registration status

 
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

• Perform US exams and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient setting.

• Assist the physician and other medical staff during exams and procedures.

• Complete documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.

• Perform ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.

• Retrieve and review previous studies, reports, written orders, and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of US exams and procedures.

• Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the organization's quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
