Position: OB/GYN Sonographer Premier Diagnostic Services is partnering with Lifelong Wellness and Gynecology, PLLC to provide a complete, turnkey ultrasound service - including a highly qualified sonographer, a state-of-the-art high-end ultrasound machine, and a full PACS and reporting system for image storage, measurements, and report generation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced OB/GYN sonographer seeking a consistent part-time schedule in a warm, patient-centered gynecology practice. The sonographer will work closely with the supervising physician to deliver high-quality imaging services two days per week in a well-appointed clinical setting. We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN sonographer for a part time position on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Falls Church, Virginia who will report to our Clinical Regional Manager. Scans Routinely Performed: - GYN Pelvic ultrasound (transabdominal and transvaginal)
- Abdominal ultrasound
- 3D imaging of the endometrium
- Pregnancy confirmation and early first trimester transvaginal ultrasounds (< 12 weeks)
- Hysterosonograms/saline-infused sonograms (SIS) - a growing priority for the practice
Credentials: - RDMS in OB/GYN (Required)
- RDMS in Abdominal (Preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience post-RDMS (preferred)
- 2 years of OB/GYN experience
- GE Voluson experience is a plus
- Experience working with Viewpoint reporting software is a plus
- Has met all relevant certification and licensure requirements applicable to the account
- Experience performing hysterosonograms/saline-infused sonograms strongly preferred
Education: - Associate's Degree preferred, or equivalent clinical experience
Primary Responsibilities: - Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations according to ordering physician’s requisition
- Collaborate with the physician and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings
- Explain the procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner to ensure their understanding
- Uphold safety, privacy, and infection control standards
- Continuing education to stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques
- Execute imaging protocols established by the practice and supervising physician consistently
- Utilize the PACS and reporting system to store images, record measurements, and generate structured reports
- Set up, maintain, and clean all scanning equipment and the work area prior to each patient
Skills: - Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and physicians
- High attention to detail with strong organizational, decision-making, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently on a daily basis
- Proficiency with ultrasound/imaging software; familiarty with PACS and reporting systems preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, follow up, and multi-task on a daily basis
