    Room 8 Group is an end-to-end strategic partner in external game development. Working across all platforms, we provide creative and technical expertise across game development, technology, art, trailers, and QA for AAA and AA games.

    Since 2011, we've built creative partnerships with world-leading publishers such as Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sony, Gameloft, Take2, EA, and more. While leveraging our own cutting-edge tools and R&D capabilities, we've co-created a multitude of award-winning projects for video game IPs and franchises including Call of Duty, Diablo, Assassin's Creed, Star Trek, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, and many more.

    Through primarily organic growth, we are proudly independent, now home to around 1,100 creatives based in Europe, North America, and South America.

    The next great challenge is coming:

    Room 8 Group is looking for a Sound Integrator & Designer to join our team and help bring high-quality audio assets into the game. You will be responsible for integrating, polishing, and validating music, voices, sound effects, and cutscene audio while maintaining consistency with the project's technical and naming standards.

    Superpowers you have:

    • Experience in game audio integration, sound design, or a similar role in the game development industry.
    • Good understanding of audio formats, sample rates, loudness, compression, and audio quality standards.
    • Understanding of memory and performance constraints related to game audio.
    • Knowledge of asset naming conventions, versioning, folder structures, and audio asset management.
    • Understanding of platform-specific audio requirements and technical limitations.
    • Experience working with cutscene audio and synchronizing sound with animation and video.
    • Ability to identify audio quality issues and perform basic sound editing, equalization, noise reduction, and other audio processing.
    • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding timing, synchronization, naming, and technical specifications.
    • Ability to work directly with game builds and verify audio integration in-game.
    • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including programmers, designers, animators, QA, and production.
    • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

    You're a rockstar if you have:

    • Experience working with Unreal Engine or other major game engines.
    • Experience with professional audio editing and sound design software.
    • Experience working with interactive game audio systems and middleware.
    • Previous experience on AAA or high-quality AA game projects.
    • Experience with audio optimization for different platforms.

    Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

    • Replace existing in-game music with remastered versions provided by the Music Writer, ensuring consistent asset naming and folder structure.

    • Equalize, clean up, and improve the overall sound quality of in-game voice recordings.

    • Reproduce the original audio of all cutscenes while preserving the required technical specifications and making minor adjustments where needed.

    • Work on cutscene audio in several iterations:

    • Create the first iteration as an exact audio clone of the original cutscene, including timing.

    • Make minor adjustments to sound positioning and timing to match updated cutscenes.

    • Restore broken, missing, or incorrectly integrated sounds.

    • Replace existing audio assets with updated versions while preserving the exact file names, folder structure, formats, and locations.

    • Play and test the game to verify that all updated audio assets are correctly integrated and work as intended.

    • Identify low-quality, outdated, or inappropriate in-game sounds and replace them with improved versions.

    • Ensure consistency and quality across music, voices, sound effects, and cutscene audio.

    • Collaborate closely with programmers, game designers, animators, QA, producers, and other members of the development team.

    • Troubleshoot audio integration issues and ensure that sound assets meet the project's technical and performance requirements.

    Join the team of inspiring game dev professionals, and get even more:

    • Competitive financial reward (yes, we are fair enough);
    • Challenges to raise your XPs score working on the projects of the top global game dev publishers;
    • Private medical care, paid time off;
