Sourcing & Order Execution Specialist

Role Mission

Provide the Sales team with a near-real-time sourcing and order execution engine. This hands-on specialist finds hard-to-source products, secures competitive pricing, and accurately converts approved opportunities into Sales and Purchase Orders.

Responsibilities

• Source standard, constrained, discontinued, and hard-to-find mobile devices and IT hardware.
• Deliver actionable pricing and availability to Sales within one business hour whenever possible.
• Present clear options covering cost, lead time, condition, warranty, and viable alternatives.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and freight with OEMs, distributors, wholesalers, and brokers.
• Generate and release accurate Sales Orders (SOs) and Purchase Orders (POs) quickly.
• Validate SKUs, specs, carrier compatibility, margins, supplier terms, and customer requirements prior to release.
• Track open sourcing requests and PO commitments through to fulfillment.
• Expand and strengthen the network of reliable hardware and mobility suppliers.
• Streamline workflows across sourcing, quoting, order creation, and cross-team handoffs.
• Utilize operational data to improve response times, order accuracy, and deal margins.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in technology sourcing, purchasing, or procurement (mobility, IT hardware, or distribution).
• Strong familiarity with smartphones, tablets, laptops, accessories, and enterprise technology specs.
• Established supplier relationships in the device/hardware ecosystem; hands-on experience managing POs (SO experience strongly preferred).
• High urgency, sharp attention to detail, commercial negotiation skills, and clear communication.
• Ability to work on site
• Sourcing experience with brands like Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Dell, HP, Cradlepoint, etc.
• Background working within a tech VAR, mobility reseller, wireless carrier, or hardware distributor.
• Proven success optimizing quote desk, order management, or ERP workflows.

Success Metrics

• Sub-1-hour turnaround time on actionable sourcing requests.
• High PO/SO accuracy with minimal rework.
• Protected or expanded gross margins via effective supplier negotiation.
• Continuous expansion and responsiveness of the vendor network.
