Position Overview
A growing international distribution company is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support product sourcing and procurement for global markets. This role focuses on identifying new products and suppliers, evaluating pricing and business opportunities, and supporting supplier onboarding and negotiations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable building supplier relationships while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify new products and potential suppliers for international markets.
Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
Evaluate suppliers based on product quality, pricing, reliability, and business needs.
Coordinate supplier onboarding and collect required documentation and compliance materials.
Assist with negotiations involving pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, and lead times.
Maintain accurate sourcing records, cost sheets, and supplier communication logs.
Analyze market trends, pricing, and competitive offerings to support purchasing decisions.
Prepare product recommendations based on research, cost analysis, and business needs.
Qualifications
Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
13 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or a related role.
Basic understanding of supply chain fundamentals, pricing, and supply and demand.
Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping concepts.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze pricing data and market trends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems or sourcing platforms preferred.
