We're looking for a strong Sous Chef to support daily operations in a fast-paced private school dining program to:Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and service executionLead and supervise kitchen staff during prep, production, and serviceEnsure all meals are prepared from scratch, consistently, and on timeWork directly from production sheets to plan, organize, and execute daily food needsManage inventory control, including ordering support, receiving, and stock rotation (FIFO)Oversee proper storage, labeling, and organization of all food and suppliesMaintain food safety, HACCP standards, and sanitation procedures at all timesAssist with menu execution, catering events, and special functionsTrain and coach staff on proper prep techniques, portioning, and kitchen proceduresStep in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly and efficientlyOur Ideal Candidate Is:A confident Sous Chef with strong leadership and kitchen management skillsHas experience with production sheets, inventory management, and high-volume prepOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy kitchenComfortable with scratch cooking and maintaining quality and consistencyA hands-on leader who motivates and supports the teamReliable, professional, and calm under pressureSchedule:Monday- Friday7:30 A.M.- 3:00 P.M.Transportation:Free on-campus parking is available.Located on the Metro Red Line.On the bus line just steps away from Walter Reed Hospital and the NIH.
