You, our Ideal Candidate
You are a service-oriented and experienced dining professional with a passion for leading and mentoring others. You model exceptional service, have a strong understanding of dining operations, and bring enthusiasm to training and supporting team members while ensuring a positive dining experience for residents. Responsibilities - Responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen in the absence of the Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef
- Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and recipes.
- Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems.
- Follows all HACCP protocols and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards including daily and weekly completion of logs. Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.
- Stores food properly and safely, manages labeling and dating daily, with follow up on staff discrepancies. Maintains storage areas
- Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders. Preps food as necessary.
- Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and presentation of food are preserved.
- Oversee monthly inventory systems management process
Requirements - High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training. A Culinary Arts Degree or certification by ACF preferred.
- Serv Safe Certification is required
- A minimum of 3 years related production and supervisory experience in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant or similar facility.
- Must possess a customer service background and orientation
- HACCP training preferred
