Job Description: Sous Chef


Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

What We're Looking For


  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a strong kitchen leadership role (upscale or fine dining experience strongly preferred).
  • Solid culinary foundation with a passion for innovation, quality, and hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example management style.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing all back-of-house operations.
  • Manage daily food preparation, production, and service to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Train, mentor, and develop culinary team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and new culinary initiatives.
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Monitor inventory, food costs, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing culinary talent.
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
