Spacecraft Systems Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spacecraft and space systems development. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering principles and a proven ability to define, develop, and integrate complex space systems. This role involves a wide range of systems engineering responsibilities and complete ownership of systems and projects.

Responsibilities

Define, develop, and verify requirements for space-based and ground-based systems.

Perform system architecture trades and design analysis across spacecraft subsystems.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers across the full system lifecycle.

Support integration, test, and operations activities for spacecraft and ground systems.

Qualifications

Experience developing space systems (spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle, or related).

Background in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience with requirements management and systems engineering processes.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw) or mission analysis tools (e.g., STK, GMAT).

Familiarity with applicable standards (e.g., NASA NPR 7120.5, ECSS, MIL-STD).

Ability to learn new concepts and conduct independent research.

Location

Remote position with occasional travel (quarterly).

Pay and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package including salary and benefits. Pay range based on experience and ability.  Pay range: $100,000 - $300,000. Open to contractor or full-time employees.
