IMMEDIATE POSITION OPENING FOR A SPANISH-SPEAKING Personal Care Aide
Job Summary We are seeking a Personal Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding
Provide mobility support including transfers, ambulation and repositioning
Perform light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation as part of daily care routines
Offer companionship, emotional support and encourage client engagement in activities
Monitor and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the supervisor
Provide medication reminders as directed in the care plan
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
Adhere to infection control, safety and privacy protocols at all times
Skills and Qualifications
Spanish-speaking is required
High school diploma or GED
Current PCA certification (Virginia)
CPR AED and First Aid certification
TB Test required (must test negative)
One (1) year of experience in personal care or home health (preferred)
Ability to assist clients with mobility or transfer needs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate attitude
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required
Ability to work independently and follow written care plans
Basic documentation and time management skills
Schedule & Shifts
Flexible scheduling available (minimum 4-hour shifts)
Day, evening, overnight and weekend
