The STEP program serves elementary students across multiple grade levels who demonstrate complex learning profiles and require specialized educational approaches. Students require alternate or modified curriculum to meaningfully access their learning and need explicit instruction in social skills and emotional regulation strategies. Students may present with various learning disabilities, including but not limited to intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, multiple disabilities, or neurological disabilities that impact their ability to access learning.
