Candor Consulting & Diagnostics | Texas
Starting at $45.00 per hour
Every student brings unique strengths, interests, and ways of learning. At Candor Consulting & Diagnostics, your teaching helps students with autism build on those strengths and make meaningful progress in the classroom and beyond.
We’re hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with autism through individualized instruction, thoughtful classroom supports, and strong partnerships with families and school teams. Join a team that values your expertise, supports your professional growth, and understands that your life outside work matters, too.
You invest your time and talent in helping students succeed. Here’s how we invest in you:
Competitive hourly pay: Starting at $45.00 per hour, with compensation for every minute you work.
Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options for eligible employees.
Support for your future: A 401(k) plan with matching contributions for eligible employees.
Professional growth: Mentorship opportunities and professional development reimbursement to help you strengthen your skills and advance your practice.
Referral rewards: Earn up to $1,000 in referral bonuses when you help us connect with talented professionals.
A supportive team: Be part of a community of educators who value collaboration, student success, and the expertise you bring.
You’ll create opportunities for students to access learning, communicate their needs, and participate meaningfully in school. You will:
Individualize instruction. Adapt lessons, materials, and teaching strategies to each student’s strengths, learning needs, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
Create a supportive classroom. Use predictable routines, visual supports, and appropriate accommodations to help students navigate their learning environment.
Build meaningful skills. Support academic learning, communication, social participation, and independence based on individual goals and in collaboration with related service providers.
Support positive behavior. Use positive behavior strategies and implement individualized behavior intervention plans, when applicable, in collaboration with the educational team.
Track progress and adjust instruction. Maintain accurate records, collect student data, and use progress monitoring to guide instructional decisions.
Partner with families and school teams. Help develop and review IEPs, participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, and coordinate with families, teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas special education teaching certification, with any additional qualifications required for the assignment.
Knowledge of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, visual supports, and positive behavior strategies.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
A patient, adaptable approach that recognizes each student’s strengths and individual support needs.
Experience teaching or supporting students with autism is preferred.
Bring your creativity, teaching expertise, and commitment to a full-time role where you can help students make meaningful progress. We’d love to learn about your experience and what you’re looking for in your next opportunity.
